This marked the start of Warzone Pacific, which is the game’s current iteration, and will be for the foreseeable future.Īlong with a new map, Warzone Pacific marked the introduction of a range of new weapons to the game, consisting of the guns that were released with Call of Duty Vanguard. While there weren’t many major changes shortly after the game’s release, Verdansk saw a huge revamp with the release of the Verdansk ‘84 update, which changed up many of the POIs and made the map look like it would have at the height of the Cold War.Īfter that, Warzone saw its next major change with the release of Call of Duty Vanguard, which brought the battle royale to World War II, with the release of the first-ever new map for Warzone: Caldera. However, Warzone also changed with the times, especially after the release of Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War.
